Some of the locations mentioned -- 522 & WV 9 are state maintained highways and concerns about repair to them should be directed at the WV Department of Highways. Others are the domain of the town which levies a street fee on every property owner in the town to pay for maintenance. In addition, repairing damage to streets done through water pipe repplacement project was to be part of that project.
Perhaps concerned individuals should attend a town council meeting and ask those questions.
Fortunately or unfortuntely as the case may be, the Streetscape project grant does NOT allow money to be spent on street repair. And that grant is federal so complain there.
The pot holes in the streets of Bath, Mercer and 522 at Rt 9 in front of Sheets, are so bad, I wonder what the tourists think of our beautiful city every time they drive on these streets? Wouldn't that be a good place to start a beautification program?
