Please tell us how you and your voters feel about the truck traffic in town and what you would propose to deal with it.

I am a healthcare professional, which makes me think about how the fumes from trucks affect our health. I would be very concerned about anyone with respiratory problems because of the fumes. I walk at least three days per week through town and feel the noise level is unacceptable. I have been in buildings downtown where their windows have rattled due to passing trucks. I personally feel that the roads through town are to narrow to accommodate these trucks. Another issue with the trucks is the deterioration of the roads. Safety of everyone involved including the truckers is why I support the bypass. I do not feel the 522 bypass will devastate our tourism business. Our natural resources in the form of hot springs, artful personality and charming atmosphere will hold it own with the help of the Morgan Arts Council and Chamber of Commerce. For many years people have came and toured Morgan County and I feel we will still attract people even with the bypass.

Stacy,
John was asked this question what is your response.
In an effort to get a discussion started here, please tell us how you and your voters feel about the truck traffic in town and what you would propose to deal with it.

--Thanks
