I would like to see environmentally friendly jobs or “green” jobs created in Morgan County. In my opinion, medical waste, chicken farming or air/water polluting businesses should not be allowed. To ensure the future of Morgan County, businesses featuring tourism, healthcare or technology would be appropriate. I also support any businesses that are geared towards our children, such as a skating rink, daycare center, and fitness activities. Where there are children engaged in activities, you will find their families and that is what Morgan County needs. Daycare centers provide a safe place for children while parents are working.
Keep in mind, that money spent elsewhereis detrimental to our local and family owned businesses. I would recommend that Morgan County citizens spend their money within our county.
As you are aware, many businesses in the area have recently closed. The residents of Morgan County are being forced to commute farther away for a job. What types of businesses would you, as a County Commissioner, support coming to Morgan County?
